We have a fully equipped and staffed laboratory for the monitoring and control of process solutions and waste stream.

We measure and test the performance of our coatings using a variety of different techniques including:

• Coating weight/surface density using the strip and weigh method
• Plating and anodising thickness, non-destructive thickness checking using X ray fluorescence, eddy current and electromagnetic thickness measuring equipment
• Plating alloy composition using X ray fluorescence
• Anodising sealing
• Adhesion
• Corrosion resistance, salt spray testing
• Abrasion resistance
• Hardness
• Hydrogen embrittlement testing
• Thickness verification by micro section

For specialised testing services we use NAMAS and NADCAP approved laboratories.
